To accelerate the reward procedure, the adherence to the following few measures will optimise the treatment of your file if there is damage to your property. They include the sequence to follow and a series of precise justifications to send:

 


Mesures to take:  


1/ At the end of delivery

You should produce precise and detailed reserves on an "official" document (transport papers, transporter's delivery docket, accident report forms, state forms, etc.)
PLEASE NOTE! The words "subject to unpacking" have no legal value.

2/ In the three days after delivery, you should:

  • confirm your detailed reserved by addressing example n°1 of form n°2 "letter of reserve(s)" eby registered mail to the last transporter.

  • ask for the expert mentioned on the insurance certificate (if however you consider that the damage is of little important, please contact our damage department to find out if it is necessary to ask for an expert).
    The role of the expert is to determine and value the damage in total objectivity. The expert's report and your contract will be used for your compensation.

  • send example n°2 of form n°2 Letter of reserve(s) to Group LSN - maritime & transport department/compensation & advise department - 81, rue Taitbout 75431 Paris Cedex 09 France
Paperwork to enclose:  

The following papers are required for your compensation dossier:
  • original transport papers (LTA, bill of lading, etc....)
  • original insurance certificate
  • reserves established on arrival and/or all documents drawn up on unloading (delivery docket, accident report form, port authoritiy docket, etc...)
  • purchasing invoice for damaged objects, repair and/or replacement quotes for damaged objects
  • original expert's report

Depending on the circumstances, other documents may be requested.
